On the 19th, the military police carried out an eviction without a court order. They attacked Indigenous people with tear gas, rubber bullets, and live rounds. They also arrested five people. The attacks have already left more than 10 people injured, including three children. They also set homes on fire and destroyed food supplies and community structures. There are even reports of torture. An excavator was used to dig a trench to block the indigenous people’s passage. The wealthy landowners behind the attacks have a history of aggression against indigenous people. They belong to the same group that created the so-called "caveirão rural”. They have connections to major law firms, agribusiness cooperatives, the rural union, and private security firms that work in conjunction with gunmen. Far-right politicians, such as Marcos Pollon and Rodolfo Nogueira, from Bolsonaro’s PL party, went to the site to intimidate and criminalize the occupation. Both have ties to the Invasão Zero militia, which acts against land occupations in various parts of the country.
