For nearly four years, Esp(a)ço has been a place for gatherings, debate, solidarity, and mutual aid in Porto Alegre, so-called Brazil. The collective has organized dozens of activities both at our social center as in public spaces. During the 2024 floods, we organized a number of actions and raised funds to support anarchist squats affected by the floods and to help with the infrastructure for the Mbyá Guarani people at Ponta do Arado land reclamation. On the coldest days of 2025, we took Apoio Mútuo, our free store, to downtown Porto Alegre and distributed thousands of pieces of clothes to hundreds of people in need. And now, we want to do even more with our new home. And for that, we are once again counting on the community’s solidarity. Every month we have bills to pay: water, electricity, property tax, condo fees, as well as other expenses such as cleaning supplies, maintenance, food, and transportation.
