<description>Community care takes time and energy that rising rents and the cost of living leave people without. The speaker describes people working two and three jobs, and points to the idea of community care as something to pursue as far as possible: take care of each other and organize collectively, in solidarity. The ask that follows is to liberate our time and work less, so there is more time to care for friends and families. From the "Silvia Federici On the New York City Home Health Care Workers Strike" workshop at the 2026 International Workshops, co-hosted with the 20th NYC Anarchist Book Fair. A Radical Guide is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that builds movement infrastructure, including a global directory of radical spaces, mutual aid programs, and educational resources for people doing liberation work around the world.
